Each piece is designed by the EarthModern team and handcrafted with care and integrity. Mike brings his skill in welding, woodworking and stonework together in each custom piece of furniture. NATURE INSPIRED
Our designs are inspired by the timeless and grounding nature of stone. Stone is the most ancient of materials, and we are fortunate to have an abundance of it here in the Hudson Valley. The same stone that graces the Shawangunk Cliffs becomes the focal point of our furniture pieces through our thoughtful and meticulous crafting process. Each piece of stone is hand chosen by Mike for its variations of texture, of tones, and for unique inclusions of crystallized quartz. The stone is then shaped by Mike, bringing forth a design that allows the stone, wood, and metal elements to work harmoniously together. Both beautiful and functional the stone provides a ballast point allowing us to design tables with more legroom, and unobstructed chair placement. Our handcrafted, customized pieces are connected deeply with the natural world, and formed with the raw beauty of the elements.
